Off-the-Chart Engagement Time
Wendy’s Social Audio Remixer made its début during American Idol’s Season Finale. Fans customized a Frosty jingle by mashing it up with Soul, Trip Hop and Techno tracks. The mixes went into the gallery and were automatically entered into a contest.
The remixer was later featured in an NPR story on next-generation marketing. But the real story is the results: user-engagement and community growth metrics were off-the-charts.
Viral Uptake
Our aim was a drop-dead-easy remixer. We wanted something fun to touch that would be immediately gratifying to the community member. Our mix engine is non destructive and plays back fast in real-time, making for a rewarding social experience.
We used our proprietary mashup engine to let users mix multiple audio tracks including various custom bass lines, drum tracks, theremin sounds, electronic sweeps and soul shouts — the studio favorite being “Give the drummer some, y’all. Hey!”.
